Nigerian gay rights activist Bisi Alimi has urged those who hide their sexual orientation to get out of their closets because they still have life to live.
The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Gay and Transgender (LGBTQI+) community in Nigeria was pressured by Bisi Alimi to debut her parents on Monday afternoon via Twitter.
Alimi, the wife of an Australian man, appeared on national television in 2004.
By tweeting to members of her community, Bisi convinced others who were still hiding out.
